About Us 
Nailsea Musicals started in 1977, as Nailsea Musical Comedy Club, with a performance of the musical "Oliver!" in 1979. The Society has gone from strength to strength in the past thirty years and now performs three or four shows each season.

We have a strong membership spread over three sections: Minis, Juniors and Adults. Each year, the Minis and Juniors normally perform at least one main production and a small concert. The Adults are just as busy, performing one or two main productions each year as well as one or two concerts.

All sections rehearse on Wednesday nights at the Mizzymead Centre in Nailsea - the Minis and Juniors at 6pm and the Adults at around 7.30pm - 8pm. We are always looking for new members to join us both on and off stage.

Minis & Juniors - Inductions for these are done on a yearly basis, in time with the school year. If you or a member of your family or friends is interested in joining one of these groups, you can get more information on the Minis & Juniors link on the main menu.

Auditions Usually happen around July-Sept each year. You can contact our minis & juniors section leader by email by clicking here.

Adults (performing) - Adult inductions take place at the beginning of each show to help our directors cast the parts efficiently. However, we welcome new members to come along to any rehearsal so they can get a feel for what we do. Adults (backstage/non performing) - While it's very easy the think of the group as a purely acting one, we also have a huge amount of people who work behind the scenes. From set design and building, to costumes, lighting and sound. Without these people we couldn't put on our shows.
